Students of the Ottoman Musical Practicum course bring to the stage, through their end-of-year concerts, the relationship between music and lyrics written in aruz meter (poetic meter), which is widely used in the Ottoman/Turkish musical tradition.

Lyrics composed in aruz meter are performed in alignment with Turkish musical usuls (rhythmic cycles), revealing the unity of poetry, rhythm, and melody through live performances. This approach, traditionally employed as a pedagogical method in music education, is presented in an experimental concert format, with professional musicians accompanying the performances.
