CV

Ceyda Oskay is an artist, textile designer, and researcher. Her artwork - performances, installations, interactive and transformational garments, collaborative and socially engaged practices, prints, site-responsive temporary experiential works are informed by her own experiences, and intuitive responses combined with years of practice and research including work on migration and development with the United Nations, published research on nomadic textiles in Kuwait, the South African National Gallery, and other. She holds an MA from the Royal College of Art, and METU, and BA from the University of Chicago, and coursework from SAIC. She is a published researcher who has also given workshops and talks including at Oxford University, Victoria and Albert Museum, Bilgi University, Kuwait University, Royal College of Art, and other. She has exhibited her work at Canal Projects, NYC, SomArts CA, Royal Academy Summer Show curated by Yinka Shonibare, Liverpool Alternates Biennial, Tapi Festival India, Iceland, Scotland and Wales, Ireland, Greece, Kuwait, and other spaces and countries.
